I am a therapist registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. My core training was in Humanistic Counselling (Gestalt, Person-Centred, and Transactional Analysis). I am currently undertaking further training at the Gestalt Centre, as a trainee individual and group therapist registered with the UKCP.
MA Gestalt Therapy Theory Studies (Gestalt Centre/London Metropolitan University)
Diploma and BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling (Metanoia Institute/Middlesex University)
Bar Vocational Course (BPP)
Graduate Diploma in Law (BPP)
BSc (Hons) Psychology (Manchester)
Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP)
Trainee Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and the Gestalt Centre
Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS)
I completed pupillage and practiced as a barrister specialising in family law, and particularly child protection.
I also hold an academic post as Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster. This allows me space to engage in research, scholarship, and teaching looking at the psychology of lawyering, and issues affecting lawyers, including research on the experiences of LGBT barristers; and which more generally supports my practice.
